The recent FAA grant proposal and acceptance is a big step in the right direction. However the airport was in slow decline for a long time, with no improvements or development to speak of until mid-2004. Realistically it will never become a major regional aviation hub due to its small size. Nevertheless, there is quite a bit that can be done to take advantage the full potential of this little airport. Friends of Seaside Airport and the Airport Committee are currently working to come up with recommendations for the future of the airport.

If you are interested in establishing a commercial aviation-related business at the airport or just want to help with ideas or elbow grease, please attend airport advisory committee meeting or contact us.
