10/27/2011 – In February 2011, a Notice of Proposed Construction was filed for seven 411 foot tall wind turbines at Camp Rilea, 9 miles NNW of Seaside Airport, and on October 27 the FAA issued a determination that the project exceeds obstruction standards, due to the towers' height (411' AGL) and proximity to Astoria Airport (3.44 nm).
